Hungry at late night? Sure! After a heavy party night, I am always hungry before getting home. To add more weight, I often find something to eat. The restaurant don’t have to be great, but tasty. See my lists.

Best Late Night Restaurants in Chiang Mai


1. ABC Pork Frying Pan

 ‘Moo Krata,’ one of the most common buffet meal in Thailand and of course in Chiang Mai. Where can you find this buffet restaurant at late night? ABC opens from 5 p.m. – 3 a.m. offering beef, paprika chicken and crocodile meat! The price is only 129 baht per person. Bring the whiskey here and they won’t charge you at all. 2. Ong Tipparos

Over 30 years in Chiang Mai, this noodle soup restaurant has become well-known among the nightlife people. The recommendations are the fish meatballs (like a nipple), bones in soup and the waiter who can incredibly calculate the price of your meal very fast.  Open form 5 p.m. – 3 a.m.

3. Lung Thai Curry

Located near Ton Payom Market, this hot and spicy restaurant is full of students who love hanging out at night. The food here, as mentioned above, is spicy which can make you feel better from getting so drunk and hangover. Recommend: Stir-fried with frog, stir-fried basil with squid and Ray Pad Cha. Open from 4 a.m. until 1 p.m.

4. Larb Bunker

The cheapest Larb in Chiang Mai! This shack offers wide range of local food, for example Larb (raw and cooked), boiled egg, sticky rice, curries, sausages, and so on. The queue may take a long time as this place is so popular among teenagers at night. The price starts at 10 baht. Open at midnight.

5. Man Noodle

Another famous noodle soup restaurant in Chiang Mai, offering cheap price and nice food. The starting price is only 20 baht with large quantity of food. The soup is so sweet and tasteful. The restaurant is opposite to Sanpakoi Market. Made-to-order as your request! Open 5 p.m. – 2 a.m.

6. Sanpakoi Thai Rice Noodle

One of the most favorite dish here is “KA NOM JEEN” (Local Style Noodle) and the most famous shop here is located in San Pa Koi market, opening from 5 p.m. – 5 a.m. The price of the menu starts at 15 baht each for medium size, and 20 baht for large size. It is always busy at night. Close on Sundays.

7. Midnight Fried Chicken

Over 20 years of delicious fried chicken, a late night restaurant starts the first serve on 11 p.m. and it is always full of drinkers and visitors. Food served here includes deep-fried chicken, pork, eggplant chilli paste, sticky rice.
