Tucked away in what appears to be a storage unit off of Suthep Road, Bee Vegan is one of the most fresh, veggie packed, and savory meals to have in Chiang Mai.
A huge selection of vegan foods are offered on the menu in English and Thai, including fresh pressed juices, coconut juice blended smoothies, homemade traditional Khao Soi and other curries, and a plentiful variety of faux meats. Everything is grilled with minimal oil, and is thus a very different flavor than many of the other restaurants you’ll find in Chiang Mai. Pricing ranges, but nothing on the menu is over 100 baht; an average meal with both a main course and a drink would cost less than 3 USD. A collection of vegan snacks and treats are up for display near the register. Everything from homemade brownies, to “guilt free” granola bars, and to tofu chips. You have to hope they’ve restocked before you visit because they sell out quickly.
The whole atmosphere of this little restaurant is welcoming, with incredibly friendly waitresses and cooks. It is a welcome splash of diversity from the traditional Thai food restaurants scattered along most of Suthep Road, and customers will without a doubt return for more delicious and nutritious vegan options.
