Architect and designer Eakrit Pradissuwana, (see biography) created AKA with one thing in mind, “I wanted people to come and spend time here. They can look around and treat the space like it’s their home. AKA is about living. You have to experience the space to know if our design is good for your lifestyle.”
“Contemporary oriental functionalism” is the core of AKA design philosophy. “It’s never enough that something looks good. It has to work as beautifully as it looks.”
This design philosophy applies to all the pieces found in AKA. He captures the essence of the past and intertwines it with the fabrics and materials of the present, blending antiquity into forms that represent modernity. Color is used to bring energy into space and give life to forms.
AKA ceramics range from Earth & Fire, contemporary stoneware designed for modern lifestyle, to AKA Centerpiece, unique decorative pieces, to AKA Masterpiece, art pieces created to inspire future designs.
